LINDOR Strawberries and Cream promotion – (Spar) Grand Prize Details with T&C’s


1.1 “you”, “your” , “entrant” means the person who has entered the competition;

1.2 “we, “us”, “our” means Lindt & Sprüngli (South Africa) (Proprietary) Limited, including its holding company;

1.3 “the competition” means the chance to win the prize by entering the competition in terms of the rules set out below;


1.4 “the grand prize” means WIN a trip to Switzerland to meet Roger Federer;

1.5 “the winner” is a consumer and store manager/owner who entered the competition in the manner stated below;

1.6 “rules” means the rules of the competition as set out herein;

1.7 “Store Incentive” means the store who partakes in the LINDOR Strawberries and Cream promotion needs to comply with the criteria set out for each store. One winning store will be from the Coastal region (KZN, WC and EC)and one winning store from the Inland region; (Gauteng, Mpumulanga, North West, Limpopo, Free State)

1.8 “Shopper Incentive” means the shopper has an opportunity to enter the competition by following the entry mechanic provided on the POS in-store  



2.1 Grand prize includes the following:  

2.1.1. Return flight to the value of R 30 000 per person in economy class (excluding airport taxes, fuel surcharges, amounts due in respect of luggage or any other costs related to the flight chosen), subject to the following conditions: the flight is to be used from only: Johannesburg, Cape Town or Durban airport; is for a maximum of 4 adults; the flight is to Zurich, Switzerland subject to availability on the airline and to the maximum value of R30 000 for each ticket; the flight is to be booked through Lindt & Sprüngli South Africa and travel partner agency; Flight Centre (South Africa) (Pty) Ltd Shop 1/10,6 – 8 High Street, Rosenpark, Bellville, Cape Town, 8001; the store winner and shopper winner will be notified by the end of August 2015, has a 2 month period to redeem. Flights will be booked through Lindt & Sprüngli South Africa or the travel partner agency; Flight Centre (South Africa) (Pty) Ltd Shop 1/10,6 – 8 High Street, Rosenpark, Bellville, Cape Town, 8001;  Lindt & Sprüngli South Africa takes no responsibility for flights cancelled or delayed and will not cover any additional costs caused by a delayed or a cancelled flight. The winner will have to deal directly with the respective airline or travel agency regarding any compensation or similar claims of this nature  

2.2. The Grand prize excludes:

2.2.1. The costs of obtaining passports, inoculations, vaccinations and visas, if required, or any other costs related to travel and not included in the grand main prize as stated above (all entrants must have a valid RSA passport); or

2.2.2. the costs of any optional excursions and expenses of a personal nature incurred during the time of travel.  

2.3. Entry into the grand prize draw:

2.3.1. Entrants (store owner/manager) gain entry into the grand prize by building impactful displays in-store and follow the criteria set for each store (1.7). Criteria as follows, 1) Create impactful displays with a touch of premium WimbledoPOS provided, 2) Coupled with the highest growth achieved on LINDOR Cornet Milk 200g and LINDOR Cornet Strawberries and Cream 200g variants will increase your chance of winning, 3) Stores with the most points of interruptions on the LINDOR Milk and Caramel 38g stick through cross-merchandising and till point interruption. The (shoppers) gain entry into the grand prize draw by purchasing any LINDOR 200g Cornet and providing their personal contact details on the back of the till slip and dropping it into the entry box provided (1.8).  

2.4. Selection of winners:

2.4.1. Store Incentive, one winner will be chosen from the Coastal region and one winner will be selected from the Inland region

2.4.2. Shopper Incentive, one winner will be selected nationally. The shopper incentive prize includes taking their partner on the trip to Switzerland              



3.1. This competition is subject to the rules. All entrants, by entering the competition, agree to be bound by the rules.  A copy of the rules is available at www.facebook.com/LindtChocolateSA.

3.2. You must read the rules and pay special attention to all the terms printed in bold.

3.3. In order to qualify as an entrant, you must -

3.3.1. reside in the Republic of South Africa;

3.3.2. provide voluntarily and of your own free will correct and full personal contact details;

3.3.3. be over the age of 18 years;

3.4. The incentive for both the Spar store and shopper will end at mid night on 31 July 2015. The draw will take place during the month of August and all winners will be notified by the end of August 2015.

3.5. We, our directors, members, partners, employees, agents and consultants, the suppliers of any goods and services in connection with the competition and product launch and their respective spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members are not permitted to participate in this competition.

3.6. If we are unable to continue with the competition for any reason beyond our reasonable control or if required to do so by any regulatory requirement or applicable law, we may terminate the competition on prior reasonable notice to all entrants: provided that no prize winners will have been determined. If the competition is terminated in any of the aforementioned ways, subject to applicable laws, no entrant will have any claim of any nature whatsoever against us, unless we acted with gross negligence or with fraudulent intent. 

3.7. Only one grand prize will be awarded to one winner from the Coastal region, one winner from the Inland region and one winner nationally (Shopper).

3.8. The prize –

3.8.1. is not transferable and will only be awarded if all details supplied by an entrant are factually correct;

3.8.2. will not be exchanged for cash amounts or for any other prize other than the prize offered; and

3.9. You understand and agree that as specified in 2.1.1 -

3.9.1. the grand prize is awarded subject to the availability of flights to chosen destination within the value of R 30 000 per person;

3.10. The use of the grand prize is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the travel partner agency; Flight Centre which terms and conditions are available at http://www.flightcentre.co.za/company/legal/flightcentre-tnc.

3.11. The grand prize may only be used by up to four adults only.

3.12. Once a prize has been awarded in terms of the rules, the results are final in all respects and no correspondence will be entered into.

3.13. The competition will start on Monday 15 June 2015 and will end on Friday 31 July 2015 at mid night.

3.14. You may only enter the competition as a shopper at store level at any of the Spar stores taken part in the LINDOR Strawberries and Cream promotion (Spar stores operating within the borders of South Africa)  


To the extent legally permissible and unless we acted with gross negligence or fraudulent intent we assume no liability whatsoever for any direct or indirect loss or damage arising from, in connection with or as a result of an entrant's or prize winner’s participation in the competition; entrants and the prize winners indemnify us against any claims of any nature arising from, in connection with or as a result of their participation, in any way whatsoever, in the competition.
